Burgers + Beer with Alibi Ale Works

Over the past couple years we have had the pleasure of teaming up with Alibi Ale Works in Incline Village to host memorable and, of course, filling pop-up dinners. And the Burgers + Beer dinner we hosted last week at their brewery in Incline Village, Nevada was no different. 

The Burgers + Beer dinner featured three burgers, each with our spin on the traditional summer burger, paired with Alibi’s craft beers. 

We kicked off the night with our vegetarian mexican street corn burger with grilled corn and cotija croquette, pimentón lime aioli, pickled jalapeño, cilantro on Butter + Salt’s own naturally leavened masa harina brioche. Our mexican street corn burger was paired with Alibi’s “gin and tonic” kolsch, aged in gin barrels with lime juice. And yes, you read that right - a “gin and tonic” kolsch. 

Next up was our Korean-esque burger with Holley Family Farms spent grain fed Korean spiced pork, sweet cashew aioli, pickled plum kimchi jam, spinach, scallion on Rounds Bakery brioche. This burger was paired with Alibi’s Evil Jungle Saison-serrano with kaffir lime and lemongrass. 

Lastly, we prepared one of Aubrey’s personal favorites, a beef patty melt. Our spin on the classic beef patty melt includes rosemary aioli, slow cooked onions and cheddar on Butter + Salt’s own naturally leavened rye caraway bread. Our patty melt was perfectly paired with Alibi’s IPA. 

To round everything out, we served watermelon and shaved cucumber salad with marinated feta and mint oil. This light and refreshing salad has quickly become one of our favorite summer staples. Our salad was paired with Alibi’s Strawberry Funkmobile Tart Saison with strawberries. And of course, we don’t believe in burgers without hand cut fries. 

We loved putting our special touches on these burgers. Including house made bread, naturally leavened caraway rye and masa harina brioche. Plus, our plum kimchi and kewpie mayo were made from scratch. Jordan, Butter + Salt’s uber-talented event manager, also showed off her killer calligraphy skills with the menu board. 

Feeding great guests with incredible plates is our favorite part of any event, but the second is introducing the community to local farms and companies we love. We take such pride in being a part of the Reno-Tahoe community, supporting local organizations, and watching our little community grow. 

Burgers + Beers featured Holley Family Farms beef and pork and produce from Great Basin Community Food Coop. Fun fact about Holley Family Farms, they feed their pigs spent grain from Alibi! Talk about full circle and northern Nevada community support.
