Butter + Salt Welcomes Grace Kerfoot

We are very happy to welcome the talented Grace Kerfoot to the Butter + Salt team as an operations assistant. In this role, Grace will be our right hand in all things event and catering prep and execution.

Grace joins our team as a recent graduate of California State University, Chico with a degree in Nutrition Communication and Food Science. After devouring Michael Pollen’s Omivore's Dilemma in high school, Grace started her journey of learning about quality food and its importance to our bodies and the world around us. During college, this northern California native oversaw operations to increase the access and support for community supported food system projects and products on campus. Grace also worked with Cultivating Communities to lead cooking demos highlighting seasonal produce and lead classes on fermentation.

We are excited to see Grace’s interest of how foods support the body and her love of supporting local farms. And not to mention, we’re big fans of her expert sourdough bread baking skills (which just so happens to pair perfectly with our signature butter and salts). She started baking bread five years ago and has delved into the world of fermentation, we are looking forward to seeing her experiment in the kitchen.

When she’s not creating in the kitchen, you can find her hiking and biking around Lake Tahoe, staying up to date on the Nordic Food Lab or whipping up a perfect cheeseboard picnic.
