Adventurous + Intimate Northern California Wedding
Tucked away at The Union Hotel in northern California, we were fortunate enough to plan and cater Scott and Jillian’s intimate wedding. Northern California was the perfect setting for this outdoor-loving couple’s nuptials.
Jordan was entrusted with creating the vision, planning all the details and coordinating the vendors for the wedding. From planning to orchestrating the wedding, Jordan was there every step of the way to make sure the couple didn’t worry about a thing. Highlighting the couple’s love of the outdoors and their laid-back attitude, Jordan created the cozy and intimate wedding. Not to mention, she showed her calligraphy skills with adorable signage around the wedding venue.
And if there’s one thing we love about this couple’s northern California wedding, were all the details. We just loved the vintage Coleman lanterns, handmade birch succulent holders, and the blankets to keep wedding guests warm when they weren’t out on the dance floor.
On the catering aspect of the wedding, we loved crafting such a fun buffet-style menu. Prior to the ceremony, guests mingled while we passed coconut milk kaffir lime leaf ice cream with Thai spiced peanuts. We also passed marinated feta and compressed watermelon skewers, in addition to heirloom tomato financiers.
After the ceremony, guests grabbed a plate and worked their way through the venue stopping at stations. While guests filled their plates, we passed petite crab cakes with yellow curry yogurt and micro mango, and our signature Mexican street corn croquettes with pimenton lime aioli.
At the stations, guests created their own street tacos with house-made corn tortillas. There was a churrascaria station filled with elk, bison, sausages and chicken. A churrascaria station is one of our favorite ways to get wedding guests engaging with the menu. And of course, we served our signature cumin roasted carrots with pomegranate molasses, and pea and Israeli couscous salad. And one of the biggest hits of the night was our crispy avocados with preserved lemon aioli.
For dessert, guests enjoyed s’mores with brûléed vanilla house-made marshmallows, dark chocolate, graham crumble and smoked salt. The perfect treat for a cozy night.
With late night dancing we always recommend a late night snack. For Scott and Jillian, we passed petite house-made pretzels with beer mustard and white cheddar beer cheese.
We are thankful Scott and Jillian chose us for making their northern California wedding dreams come true. We are looking forward to our next intimate wedding.
