Intimate South Lake Tahoe Wedding
We have a soft spot for catering Lake Tahoe weddings. There’s something about the pine tree-lined views that can make any event feel so intimate and special. And last week’s wedding for Nicole and Derek in South Lake Tahoe was no different.
Every detail of this wedding was swoon-worthy, from the venue located at a private home in Meyers, California to the gold accents and lush tablescape. Jordan, Butter + Salt’s director of events, even created the bride’s dreamy cream and blush bouquet. We had fun creating this unique menu with quite an emphasis on dessert.
To kick off the cocktail hour, we had a beautiful charcuterie platter filled with salami, figs, and some our favorite cheeses. We also served bruschetta with local tomatoes, capers, olives and basil. We then started the family-style dinner with a summer greens salad topped with grilled peaches, almonds, goat cheese and basil citrus vinaigrette. Crispy smashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, NY Strip Steak and Atlantic King Salmon with citrus butter was passed around by guests shortly after the salad.
But our most favorite part were the desserts! We absolutely adore when our clients let us take on a twist to the classic wedding cake. For Nicole and Derek, we created a strawberries and house-made clotted cream crepe cake. We must say, it was absolutely devoured. And since these two knew how to dessert properly, we also created ice cream sandwiches with our sea salt caramel ice cream between chocolate chunk cookies.
It was truly an event to remember. We are looking forward to catering our next Lake Tahoe intimate wedding!
